Dr. Clara Winstead spent her early years on a farm in North-Eastern North Carolina, prior to relocating to Richmond, Virginia.

She studied mathematics at Virginia Commonwealth University before graduating from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. Her interests in veterinary medicine include internal medicine, feline medicine, soft tissue surgery, wound care, shelter medicine and ultrasonography.

She currently lives in Prince George County with her fiancé, their Sheltie Falkor and their cats Alma, Tatooine, Sidhhartha, and Pleiades. In her free-time she enjoys reading, gardening, and exploring the outdoors. She and her fiancé also love to roller skate, and in fact met at a local skating rink!
