Dr. Kennedy Leverett
Kennedy Leverett is a recent graduate of Oregon State University Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her undergraduate degree at Princeton University, where she studied Ecology and Evolutionary Biology.
During her time at Princeton, Kennedy conducted research on sarcoptic mange and the skin microbiome in wild canines, which contributed to a peer-reviewed publication in Parasites and Vectors. She later worked with the pet food company Freshpet on a study examining the impact of fresh diets on the canine skin microbiome, leading to a second publication in Animals.
Kennedy is excited to be starting her career in Virginia, and is looking forward to moving to the East Coast. Her professional interests include behavior, surgery, and ultrasonography.
In her free time, Kennedy enjoys reading, photography, cooking, watching tv, and hiking with her dog, Ollie.
